- Cones
- Space
- 5m x 5m L shape
- Positions

Setup
Three cones forming an L shape, 4.5m (5 yards) apart: cone 1 at the start, cone 2 straight ahead of it, cone 3 at a right angle out from cone 2.
How to run it
- Start beside cone 1.
- Sprint to cone 2 and touch the ground beside it with your right hand, turn and sprint back to cone 1 and touch again with your right hand.
- Sprint back to cone 2 and run around the outside of it, then weave inside cone 3, around the outside of cone 3, back around the outside of cone 2 and finish through cone 1.
- The second half is a curving, weaving run - keep running forwards and change your direction rather than stopping and starting.
- Do 3 reps turning each way with 2-3 minutes rest.
Coaching cues
- Sink the hips before you arrive at each touch
- Touch and go - don't let the touch stall your hips
- Lean into the weave, it's a curve not a cut
Common mistakes
- Standing tall and reaching down for the touch with a straight leg
- Running the weave too wide so it becomes three separate cuts
